You are a medical SHO and have the following five jobs which need to be addressed before the end of your shift in one hour.
A. Gerald, a 62 year old gentleman who was discharged last week following an LRTI, has returned to the ward to express his gratitude. The ward sister has advised that Gerald would like to speak to you.
B. A care home manager has attended the ward to review Mrs Andrews, a 70 year old lady who has been medically stable for discharge for over one week. The care home manager would like to speak to a doctor.
C. Shelly, the ward clerk has asked to speak to you about the notes trolley. In particular she is concerned by the number of times that notes are not returned to their correct slot, and feels that the doctors are largely to blame for this.
D. Mr Lansbury, a 65 year old smoker with known peripheral vascular disease is reporting severe right leg pain.
E. Trevor, your FY1 colleague has asked you to review Mrs Hanson who is being managed for an LRTI and is increasingly short of breath.
